All Coaches and Volunteers are required to register in two locations:

The Ballard Youth Soccer Club is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Needed Positions:

-Coaches

-Full Field Registrar(s)

  1. Assign registered players to teams for U11 and up
  2. Answer parent questions
  3. Help recruit coaches

-Mod Registrar

  1. Assign registered players to teams for U8-U10
  2. Answer parent questions
  3. Help recruit coaches

-Micro Registrar

  1. Assign registered players to teams for U11 and up
  2. Answer parent questions
  3. Help recruit coaches

-Volunteer Coordinator

  1. Recruits volunteers for needed positions and tasks
  2. Helps recruit coaches

-Website Manager

  1. Develop and maintain the website

Filled Positions:

-President

  1. Oversee general activities of the Club
  2. Convene meetings of the Board and set agenda
  3. Cast any necessary tie breaking votes
  4. Nominate non-officer positions within the Club (i.e. Summer Coordinator, Mod Ref Coordinator, etc.)
  5. Ensure the Club operates within all governing organizations and documents

-SYSA Commissioner

  1. Represent the Club at all meetings of SYSA, WSYSA, and other organizations with which the Club is associated, except those which these Bylaws assign to the Judicial Coordinator
  2. Disseminate information from SYSA (schedules, policies, programs, etc.)
  3. Perform the duties of the President in his or her absence

-Treasurer

  1. Maintain complete, current, and accurate records of all financial transactions of the Club.
  2. Publish a monthly report reflecting the current financial position to the Board
  3. Be responsible for all funds of the Club which shall be deposited in the name of the Club in one or more checking accounts, savings accounts, or money market mutual funds sponsored by state of federally chartered banking institutions.
  4. Prepare a detailed annual budget for the Club's operations for presentation at the Club's February Board of Director's meeting
  5. Register the Club annually as a non-profit corporation with the WA State Secretary of State
  6. Prepare and submit Internal Revenue Service reports required by law
  7. Provide recommendation on all Club expenditures prior to any financial commitment being made

-Head Registrar

  1. Be responsible for proper annual registration of teams, players, and coaches with WSYSA and SYSA
  2. Be responsible for all insurance matters for the Club
  3. Assign registered players to teams
  4. Maintain records on all players registered with the Club
  5. Publish registration information to the Board

-Fields Coordinator

  1. Responsible for maintenance of goals and fields throughout fall season. Build goals, hang nets at start and remove at end of season.
  2. Organize team to line Micro and Mod fields.
  3. Fields Advocate for the Ballard Soccer Club when needed. Keeps abreast of field issues in Seattle (optional)

-Equipment

  1. Responsible for purchasing and maintaining Club uniforms and equipment such as soccer balls, nets, goals, first aid kits, etc
  2. Prepare budget for Treasurer before the Feb. deadline
  3. Distribute equipment to and collect equipment from coaches as needed
  4. Publish and maintain an inventory report

-Association Referee Coordinator

  1. Responsible for recruiting, training, and scheduling qualified association level referees

-Judicial Coordinator

  1. Represent the Club at all meetings regarding rules, conduct of players, and other judicial matters. These meetings are scheduled by SYSA and WSYSA.
  2. Preside at monthly meetings of SYSA Judicial Committee

-Player Program Development

  1. Establish training and development programs for players during the season and during the off-season
  2. Work to schedule and conduct clinics for players
  3. Identify training opportunities

- Coach Program Development

  1. Establish training and development programs for coaches during the season and during the off-season
  2. Work to schedule and conduct clinics for coaches
  3. Identify training opportunities

-Photo Coordinator

  1. Work with the Photo vendor to schedule Photo Day
  2. Coordinate with coaches to set up photo times.
  3. Orchestrate Photo Day

-Secretary

  1. Provide notice, act as parliamentarian, vote valid proxies and record the minutes of meetings of the members and the Board
  2. Handle correspondence and other communications for the Club
  3. Maintain the club in good standing with the State of Washington
  4. Maintain complete, current and accurate Club records such as copies of the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Board resolutions and motions, minutes of meetings, etc.
  5. Distribute meeting notices

-Registrar (Birth Certifier)

  1. Enter and verify birth certificates into the registration system.

-Summer Camp Coordinator

  1. Coordinates the Summer Camp Programs and other soccer offerings
